CATTLE SESSIONS

What to bring….

 

  • Drinks, Sunscreen, Hat, Helmet for under 18 riders.

  • BRR Sign in form completed

  • Water bucket for your horse

 

Getting here….

 

Our address is Lot 90 Moy Pocket Rd Brooloo, we are positioned behind 2 properties, Use #78 Moy Pocket Rd in google maps, it is the second driveway on the right once on Moy Pocket Rd if coming from the Brooloo/ Imbil end. This will bring you to a gravel drive, follow it straight, continue past the front properties and over the hill. Once you come to the dam you will see the shed to the right and arena to the left. Please arrive approx 30 mins before session.

 

Parking onsite….

 

Please park in the area in front of the Arena. If you are first to arrive you can probably do a u-turn, otherwise please either drive straight in then reverse out at the end of the session or reverse in so you can drive straight out.

Please be aware there should be room for up to 4 vehicles, allowing room to tie a horse to one side.

YOUR SESSION

Your session….

 

Assisted Cattle exposure sessions, up to 2 hours of sand arena use, inclusive of 1 hour with a herd of cattle (depending on number of riders). Our aim is to keep a relaxed environment for riders, horses and cattle, please do not chase the cattle aggressively.

 

  • Arena will be open from 30 minutes before session time for you to warm up.

  • The session will start with riders practising on the mechanical cow/flag. 

  • Cattle will then be transferred to the arena once riders & horses are ready.

  • We will be overseeing the sessions, operating the mechanical cow for riders and will have the cattle ready in the yards.

  • We are not training you or your horse, we are only offering assistance in these sessions.

 

After ….

 

Water is available to hose your horse off and fill your water bucket. Please clean up after yourself and we have provided a manure box to put manure from your float and tie up area.
